A Little Bit of Random - Take Two
XFACTOR - What the hell was Simon Cowell playing at on Sunday? He has moaned, and whinged about how much he hates John and Edward, so why keep them in? Lucie Jones was soooo much better.
I want to be among the 1000's saying they are going to boycott XFactor, but truth be told, how many of them are actually going to do what they've said. It'll come to Saturday night and on the sofa, watching XFactor.
We're all too predictable, and Simon Cowell knows it. Even if it's fixed, we're still going to watch it.
Why?
Because there's a grand total of zilch on television on a Saturday night.
I can't actually remember the last time I enjoyed a Saturday night show, that wasn't the XFactor. :s In fact I used to spend Saturday nights, either out on the town, or sleeping off a night on the town. :( However, since being a parent, most Saturday nights for me are spent, cuddled on the sofa. Being pregnant I'm generally in bed by 10.. lol.
I've noticed how I keep deviating from my intended subject. It's a good job I title these entries 'A Little Bit of Random' really. lol.
Anyway, John and Edward should have gone on Sunday night, and I will be tuning in again, just to see what happens.. plus I think that some of the finalists have a fair bit of talent.
I'll actually have even less time on my hands come 30th January, as I'm finally returning to being a Student. :) I'm starting with the Open University, and I truly cannot wait. :)
I'm going to be studying 'Introducing the Social Sciences' and am considering going on to Criminology and Psychology.
I've been trying to do this for ages, but never get around to applying, but, I've done it. I sent off the Financial Support Application last month, and received the enrolment pack 2 weeks ago... saying they've awarded me the full Course Fee Grant of £630. :)
Then, at the beginning of the week, I received a letter saying I had been awarded a Parents Learning Allowance Grant of £735... :o I didn't even apply for it particularly, so was stunned. I'm still waiting to hear on one more grant aswell. :)
I am concerned about how I'm going to manage a house, a 4 year old, and a 2 month old, but I'm just going to have to get J to pull his weight a little bit more.. :) I'm sure it'll all work out for the best either way. :)
In all fairness though, J is already pretty good... He'll take Little Man to school, if I'm not feeling too good and will help with the housework, I think I'm just too hard to please. :( lol
And on that bombshell.......

I need shares in the NHS
37+1 WEEKS (20 DAYS TO GO!)
as I've spent more time at the hospital in the last 8 months than I have throughout my entire life.
My pain in the rear end, more commonly known as Dot, decided to have a long winter nap. :( And as a result scared the absolute crap out of me. :(
Last night, before bed, I was trying to get Dot to have a bit of a wriggle, and trying every way which normally works, but Dot just did not want to do anything.
All night, I couldn't sleep at all, and by this morning I was more than a little upset. :(
We decided to get Little Man into school, then phone the hospital to make sure everything was ok... They agreed to see us straight away.
By the time we got there, I had a few movements, but they still wanted to check me over. I was scanned, and we got to see the beautiful chubby cheeks again... :) A lovely heart beating away, and 4 wriggling limbs. :)
At one point she stopped scanning, and asked if we knew the sex... which leads me to believe, Dot wasn't being shy. ;) I still resisted asking though. (How well did I do?)
I was quite content with what I'd seen, but still got a CTG, a lovely regular heartbeat. :)
Another interesting point, the monitor also measures tightenings, and while I'm not getting anything particularly significant, baseline for me is normally around 10% but today it went up as high as 18%. Which could mean some braxton hicks... or maybe even very very very small contractions. :)
Overall, the midwife at the unit was fantastic, and said I'm better off going in, even if Dot starts wriggling on the way. Rest assured though, I will be chilling out and not become so panicky. But I will also remain vigilant.
I am so looking forward to the day, when Dot is out of my stomach and in my arms. :)
